STORY
!This story overview contains spoilers for the first few hours of Tales of Vesperia!
Yuri a young man from the lower quarter is awakened to the Aqua Blastia in the lower quarter starting to go out of control. Noticing the that the Blastias core is missing Yuri searches for Mordio a mage from aspio who he suspects took the Core of the Blastia. Yuri however is caught by the Imperial Knights and imprisoned but quickly escapes to search for Mordio. Along his way out of the Castle Yuri meets Estele who is searching for Flynn Scifo, Yuri’s childhood friend. the arrive at Flynn room and are confronted by a murderous assassin looking to kill Flynn. Yuri and Estelle are successful in fending of the assassin and leave the castle to not only search for the Blastia Core but to warn Flynn of the events that have transpired.
Characters
Yuri Lowell ( ユーリ・ローウェル )
A 22 year old man who grew up in the Lower Quarter with his childhood friend Flynn Scifo. Both he and Flynn joined the Imperial Knights before an event changed how Yuri viewed the Knights which encouraged him to leave.
ESTELLE Sidos Heurassein ( エステリーゼ・シデス・ヒュラッセイン )
An 18 year old Noble who lives in Zaphias Castle located in the Royal Quarter. She meets Yuri one day and informs him that she must inform Flynn about a serious matter.
Flynn Scifo ( フレン・シーフォ )
A 21 year old Imperial Knight and the childhood friend of Yuri. Flynn aspires to one day become a Imperial Knight like his father and both he and Yuri join the Imperial Knights to change the way the Empire works from the inside out.
REPEDE ( ラピード )
The loyal companion of Yuri who carries a pipe in his mouth as a memento of his former owner and Yuri’s former Knights captain Niren Fedrock who died in a tragic event during a mission that would end up pushing Yuri to leave the Imperial Knights.
Karol Capel ( カロル・カペル )
A 12 year old boy who is a member of the Hunting Blades guild who admits to both Yuri and Estelle that he has been kicked out of every guild in Dahngrest that has let him join. Karol also aspires to be like the Don, the leader of the head guild Altosk and forms his own guild along side Yuri known as Brave Vesperia named after the brightest star in the sky.
Rita Mordio ( リタ・モルディオ )
A 15 year old girl from the city of scholars Aspio. Rita began studying Blastia at a young age leading to her becoming one of the most intelligent mages in Aspio picking up the title “the famed mage Mordio” and being recognized as one of the leading Blastia researchers in the world, although she is seen as a “freak” by most of the other mages in Aspio.
Raven ( レイヴン )
A mysterious 35 year old man who first meets Yuri in the prison located under the Imperial Castle of Zaphias before he is let out by the commandant Alexei Dinoia. Raven also later confirms that he belongs to the head guild of Dahngrest , Altosk.
Judith ( ジュディス )
A 19 year old Krityan woman who’s past is shrouded in mystery only telling the party that he must get back to her dear friend Ba’ul.
Patty Fleur ( パティ・フルール )
A 14 year old girl dressed as a pirate who passes the party in many key locations in search of information about the great pirate Aifred and the many treasures that he hid along his adventures.
